Private space on the shore of Lake Galvė overlooking Trakai Castle

Peace and quiet surrounded by nature

Valley in Trakai

It is a recreation and entertainment complex located on the peninsula of Galvė Lake. The former Manor House is now a holiday home and campsite.

In the valley, you will enjoy a daily view of the famous Trakai Castle, taste the most delicious and authentic kibbins in Lithuania and learn about the history of the Karaims. Visit Užutrakis Manor and be transported back to the heyday of Lithuanian high society.

The peninsula is also rich in natural gifts. Galvė is the deepest (up to 47 m) lake in Trakai district, surrounded by many legends and stories. There are 21 islands in the lake, each of them special and unique. Some of them can be seen from our beautiful sandy and a bit „wild“ beach, while others can be viewed from a boat or a rowing boat.

Our history

More about us

The campsite with its complex of buildings and camping facilities was established in 2006. Since then, it has become one of the most popular holiday destinations in Lithuania.

The cosy territory of the Valley covers the entire peninsula of Lake Galvė, and the private shoreline of the lake is almost 1 km long. There are spacious cottages, rooms in the Manor House and holiday homes. There are also plenty of places for camping, tent camping and picnics in the 6 hectares of the valley.

For the convenience of our guests arriving in campers or tents, we have a fully equipped kitchen, a dense network of electricity points, clean sanitary facilities and showers. We offer excellent conditions not only for weekend stays, but also for longer stays.

Every visitor to the Valley is greeted by friendly and helpful staff. We strive to make our guests feel comfortable. We try our best to make your stay with us cosy and memorable.

Trakai is the capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, founded by Prince Gediminas, and the famous Trakai Island Castle was the political and cultural centre of the time. Later, it was used as a military fortress and prison. The castle, built in the 14th century on an island in Lake Galvė, is today one of Lithuania's most beautiful and impressive tourist attractions. The nature of the region is also impressive, with many lakes, rivers and forests, which have been surrounded by picturesque legends and myths since ancient times. The Trakai Landscape Reserve, located near the Camping Valley, is also rich in historical and cultural heritage. One of its most impressive sites is Užutrakis Manor, an impressive neoclassical palace built at the end of the 19th century. It is easily accessible from the Valley by car, bicycle or even on foot. Here you can stroll through the park designed by the famous French landscape architect Eduard Andre, visit the museum and see how the Lithuanian high society lived.
